PBX Manager

The multi-tenant cloud PBX. Every customer's calls, routed the way they choose.

Users, groups, IVR menus, office hours, numbers, voicemail and recordings, run per tenant from one console. You own the switch; each customer's administrator runs their own corner of it.

Who it is for

Providers who want every customer on a switch they own, with each customer's administrator managing their own users and routing.

  • Office hours decide where every call goes, with a fallback for each
  • IVR menus with text-to-speech greetings
  • Every recording and voicemail in one library

What PBX Manager does.

Users and extensions

  • Users with extensions and outside numbers
  • Apps and desk phones per user
  • Per-user call recording and missed-call alerts
  • Per-user features switched on by plan, such as call forwarding, find me / follow me, hot desking and fax

Groups

  • Groups with their own extensions and numbers
  • Members weighted, so calls are shared the way you choose
  • A caller ID prefix, so users know which group a call came through

IVR menus

  • Greetings from the audio library, an upload, or text-to-speech
  • Keypress options that route to a user, a group or an AI agent
  • Skills attached to each option, so the right person answers

Office hours

  • Open 24 hours, or custom hours for each day
  • Lunch closure and holidays
  • Separate routing for open, closed, after hours, lunch and holidays
  • A main route and a fallback for every state

Numbers and devices

  • Numbers assigned to each customer, each with its own routing
  • Mobile phones added as call destinations

Calls, recordings and voicemail

  • Call logs: all, incoming, outgoing, missed, internal and voicemail, searchable by date
  • Call recording for the whole company, or per user
  • An audio library holding IVR audio, call recordings with a summary, and voicemails
  • Hold music uploaded by each customer

Where an inbound call goes.

Every part of this path is set by your customer's administrator.

  1. 1

    The number answers

Each number has its own routing.

  2. 2

    Office hours decide

Open, closed, after hours, lunch or holiday, each with a fallback.

  3. 3

    The IVR menu offers choices

The caller presses a key for the team they need.

  4. 4

A group, a person or an AI agent answers

Calls are shared across a group's members, or handed to an AI agent.

  5. 5

    Voicemail if nobody answers

Kept in the library, beside the call's record.

Who controls what.

You, the provider

  • Your customers, their plans and their user counts
  • The numbers each customer receives
  • Which per-user features each plan includes
  • Each customer's web address

Your customer's admin

  • Users, extensions, apps and desk phones
  • Groups, IVR menus and office hours
  • Call recording and hold music
  • Webhooks and app connections

Their users

  • Their own calls and voicemail
  • Their call history
  • Language and dark mode

Works with

Every module shares one core, one identity and one app, so each one adds to the others.

Your other systems

Call events go to any web address your customer sets: ringing, connected and ended for inbound and outbound calls, transfers and IVR choices, with the caller's details in the link, so a CRM can open the right record. Ready connections in the NCS app store include Zendesk, Google Calendar, Datadog, Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, Power BI, Tableau, Zabbix and Jenkins.

Getting started with PBX Manager

PBX Manager usually goes live with or just after the softphone, because the apps need somewhere to route their calls.

We set it up in a fixed order: call settings, then users and their phones, then office hours, and the IVR menus last, with every keypress tested before a customer hears it.
